Company information:
FLM Loans.
United Kingdom
Take a look at the way FLM have handled this poor, distressed young girl! Note particularly, the advice given to her by FLM Loans. This must be very close to the Law that says it is illegal to 'Demand money with menaces!' WHY are these companies allowed to get away with this? This was posted on the Internet by a young lady who was obviously terrified by this company.
Problems with a company called flm?
im having alot of hassle of a loan company called flm.
i became a guarentor for someone, i have since lost my job but flm ring me almost daily as the payments have fallen behind.they threaten me with summons and losing my house.i have gone to a debt consolidation agency as like i say, i lost my job and things were just to tight to survive on.
flm say the debt agency are lying to me, , that there is no way they should be dealing with this debt and no matter what the debt place say, i should still b paying flm direct.however...
the debt place r saying they deal with flm on a daily basis, that they r vultures and will say anything they can to try and get me to pay up!ive been in tears on the phone to flm, when theyve been telling me to sell my babies toys if i have to, they dont care how i get the money, , just to get it!
please help...any advice??? |

frightening this thread, fool of jokers................ so whatever your name was on last page, they are going to randomly take money from your sister's husband's brother's wifes (or whatever it was) account but her name is not on the loan ? LIES. clear lies. how would they get the bank details? this person clearly was the guarantor for the loan!!!! They do not just magic up peoples names and bank details out of thin air you fudds, they person obviously supplied this on the form. Also, to the person who said I must think i am better than them or whatever he said, i have no money, i pay out £1000 a month on loans from when i was young and foolish. but..... I DO PAY THEM. i cant afford to buy stuff but i would rather pay back my debts than just stop paying it and moan if the lender tried to get the money back. the whole problem here is this: you folk had bad credit ratings, couldnt get approved loans with banks etc, therefore, get some fool to go as guarantor and get a loan with this daft unheard of company who prob dont bother who applies as long as they get the money back. if you havent spent the money from your loan then just give it back to the company. if you have spent it, THEN PAY IT BACK AND STOP MOANING |

I was gonna get one of these - so blo ody glad i didnt now. To the ones that are screaming blue murder about people being scroungers for missing s payment etc why dont you s o d off, i dont understand why you are on this thread just to have a go at people, my credit rating went from being almost perfect with only one missed payment on record to absolutely terrible in 6 months of losing my job. i had to see Citizens Advice myself as any company i had finance with did not want to know or help, Barclays were the only ones who agreed a new payment plan for my 500 overdraft - things aren't as cut and dry as you seem to think, JOBBY and FUDD - you seem like nice guys, the kind of nice guys id like to see at the bottom of a lake. FYI for your information the paperwork i have here (unsigned might i add and due to be binned) its states that should a payment be missed the guarantor will be notified after all other avenues of tryin to get the borrower to pay back have been exhausted, and that there will be contact before any monies are debitied from said guarantors account, which is clearly not happening. Most people are honest, if you lose your job, or become ill and have to take a massive pay cut on sick pay etc then most reputable companies give you 3 months grace even without protection. Before having a go at people who are obviously in a bad situation, most of them probably through no fault of their own why dont you go and take a look at your own pathetic little lives, im sure your wives will be elsewhere right now and this is the reason for you disgustin attitudes. Good luck to the ones on here who are struggling x |

i was referred to flm through yes.loans. have been charged nearly £70 admin fee been told by them that i would stand a better chance of getting my loan if i took out a payday loan (which i did!) and told that my loan money was waiting in an account just waiting for me to provide a garuntor. i have supplied 2 garuntors, both of them own thier homes have impeccable credit histories and have good jobs. both of them have been refused as garuntors!!! i cant understand why and they also cant understand. just what criteria do you have to fill to be a garuntor? i really do feel like ive been led up the garden path by them and now have to pay out a pay loan including interest that i didnt even need!! |

I have read all the posts on here with great interest, however from what I have read there are only 2 or 3 people talking any sense. Mainly, JOBBY and FUDD. So i have to wholeheartedly disagree with the comments of MANDA. The problem with every person on here is that you have been foolish. Yes possibly the business practice of this company may be slightly harsh, however there is one clear issue. No one would go to this company unless they had a bad credit rating! You would obviously go to a normal bank etc. So you must expect it to work differently. Would you take a loan from they folk who advertise on tv at 2956% APR unless you were desperate? No. So really the problem lies with all of you who went and got the loans in the first place, knowing your credit rating is poor, and deep down knowing you shouldnt be getting a loan in the first place. You then cant afford to pay it back for whatever reason and then blame the company for chasing you or the gaurantor up for the money back. Also in response to MICH, what are you on? Why would you agree to a payday loan if you didnt need one? They tell you this will help you get a real loan........ EH? Clearly again this stinks of your foolishness more that anything. Here by the way, come to my house, I will give you a loan for £10000, but first of all you have to go and buy a toilet pan from asda. This makes as much sense as what you say. Also, MANDA, you prove my point exactly, you have no money and poor credit rating, so what were you about to do??? TAKE OUT ANOTHER LOAN WITH FLM! yes a great idea obviously. How about all of you cancel your mobile phones, internets, and so on, and just live a life of poverty like I do. Then you wont have any loans. bet most of the moaners on here are the ones who would have looted the shops during the riots, then say it was the company's fault for having it on display. That is the same as what you are doing, taking their money from the loan then moaning about them wanting it back. See old PJ above, he is trying to get out of paying the money back because of some DPA bull. Never would it occur to you to think of just paying the money back???? Ahhh JOANNE, what a classic line you say..." they even checked if i took credit out while been in a dmp and cos i have in my name they were gunner use that agaisnt me even though it was not for me " that just sums up everyone on here. I took out credit in my name even though it's not for me, then wonder why you are in a mess. Unreal. |

In response to Jobby on 2011-07-03 19:00:16. It seems quite clear to me that you already work for FLM,
as you have the same rhetoric as them, You should have a toilet roll around your neck permanently, to
collect the amount of Sh*** that comes out of your mouth. And God Help the entire human race, if you
ever got a job with a loan company, you got all the qualification to be a good LOAN SHARK.
LET ME REPEAT AGAIN ANY ONE THINKING OF GETTING A LOAN WITH FLM. DONT. |

FredR, Fred R S ole more like. I do not work for FLM, I do not even know what FLM is. I just stumbled across this thread and found it littered with fools looking to blame a company for their own foolishness and incompetance. I find it amusing that people borrow money then are unhapp that they need to pay it back. It is ludicrous. It is the same ludicrousness as people wanting PPI back because they didn't understand it or didnt read the thing first etc. These folk should not be able to handle money directly as they do not have the common sense. They should be paid in cabbages, broccoli, fruit, fish etc like the olden days. Then they can eat and not starve, but not buy 50 inch plasmas on credit and then cry when they cant pay it back and so on. |

I was stupid enought to be a GUARANTOR FOR A FRIEND, LAST JULY FROM FLM QUICK with the promise he would pay it all off in 3 months and then a month late he wants another loan from FLM LOANS TO PAY OFF THE FLM quick loan, he didn't he only paid half. i don't him he was stupid, and he still didn't manage to pay them off and they come chasing me, WITH ILLEGAL DIRECT DEBITS, I NEVER SIGNED A DIRECT DEBIT so how dare they take money out of my account, as i write this, they still harrass me, as the chap who borrowed the money hasn't got any contact with them.
THEY ARE RUDE AND ABUSIVE SCUMBAGS, WHO CAN ROT IN THE DEEPEST HELL. |

I took a loan out with Flm loans/Amigo loans my guarantor became unemployed and I became unemployed.I tried to explain to them that we can not afford to pay them at the moment and could we reduce payments. They had no interest in helping us.Then the threats came several phone calls throughout the day.We did not forsee. Why don't they have a back up plan for situations like this?.Everything is fine once your working but soon as an issue crops up they do not want to know.Something needs to done. They nothing but loan Sharks and the Courts and the Financial Ombudsman needs to look into this company especially with the high interest rates that they are charging and their threathen behaviour which is again the law.Citizens Advice needs to have more power against these types of companies who are cashing in on devastating economic
conditions. Please anyone reading this do not take out a loan with this company.I have told my Guarantor if we manage to pay of this debt.I do not want him to be a guarantor for me or anyone, not after what we have been through. PLEASE AVOID THEY ARE NOW CALLED AMIGO LOANS.

You may not want to hear this, but your perception of what a rebasnaole rate is and what your lender thinks is a rebasnaole rate are completely different. While you are looking at your rate for your 20% loan and comparing it to your first, your lender is pricing your second mortgage to adjust for the increased risk of lending out 100% of the value of your home. If you are looking to replace your current second mortgage, understand that there are no real deals out there for stand-alone second mortgages and there are not very many lenders (especially now) that offer stand-alones. Your best bet would be to look at a HELOC (Home Equity Line of Credit) to pay off your second mortgage which would be priced at the Prime Rate plus or minus up to one percent and would have minimal or no closing costs. If it makes you feel better though, you are still not in a bad loan structure considering the blended rate that you currently have of 6.05% (5.25*.8 + 9.25*.2) which is not currently available for 80% financing let alone 100%. Also you should be looking at a worst case blended rate of around 6.65% based off of what I am assuming is a 6% lifetime cap on your second mortgage adjustments. |

If the car loan and the student loans are your only debt, you are much btteer off leaving these separate from each other. However, if you have not already done so, you should go ahead and consolidate your student loans (but keep separate from the car loan). Doing so allows you to lock in to a low interest rate, and you do not lose any of the advantages of your student loans. For example, if some or all of your loans were subsidized, that portion of your consolidated student loan balance will remain subsidized.Student loans carry possible tax advantages the interest can be tax deductible and they also can be eligible for deferment and extended terms if you lose your job at any point in the future or you fall on hard financial times. If you were to consolidate your student loans with your auto loan, you would lose those advantages.Pay off the car loan as soon as possible, but you can take more time with the student loans. It's probably the least expensive debt you have. Once you earn a higher salary and have some savings set aside and have paid off your car loan, then you can get to work paying off your student loans. |

No you can't.Just like credit agecny, your equity loan information is registered. When you approach the second bank for an additional equity loan, they will pull up your file and they will insist that you consolidate theirs and the first bank's equity loan into one. This means, the second bank will pay off the first one's equity (fees charged to you) and then they will write a equity with the old loan plus the new one provided you qualify for the entire loan of course. In these tight credit markets today this type of fancy-dancy loans are thing of the past. However you can talk to them. If your income is good I mean real good and solid then they will loan you. |

Just a thought, or a sgguestion, but don't ever put your checking account number or your social security number online for anyone to see. That is asking for disaster. Any payday loan organization that advertises an online sevice, or money in your bank in 24 hours is very suspect. They can't put money into your account unless they have the account number and routing number. If you give that to them, they can clean you out and you will be worse off than before. If you absolutely must use this service, and their 360% interest, find one near where you live and go there. Do not put that information on the internet. |
