FLM Loans - Threatening nature, and possible illegal actions by Staff |

Company information:
FLM Loans.
United Kingdom
Take a look at the way FLM have handled this poor, distressed young girl! Note particularly, the advice given to her by FLM Loans. This must be very close to the Law that says it is illegal to 'Demand money with menaces!' WHY are these companies allowed to get away with this? This was posted on the Internet by a young lady who was obviously terrified by this company.
Problems with a company called flm?
im having alot of hassle of a loan company called flm.
i became a guarentor for someone, i have since lost my job but flm ring me almost daily as the payments have fallen behind.they threaten me with summons and losing my house.i have gone to a debt consolidation agency as like i say, i lost my job and things were just to tight to survive on.
flm say the debt agency are lying to me, , that there is no way they should be dealing with this debt and no matter what the debt place say, i should still b paying flm direct.however...
the debt place r saying they deal with flm on a daily basis, that they r vultures and will say anything they can to try and get me to pay up!ive been in tears on the phone to flm, when theyve been telling me to sell my babies toys if i have to, they dont care how i get the money, , just to get it!
please help...any advice??? |

SAGA OF THE BENAMOUR BABES
To follow up my comment posted earlier today. Please keep the comments coming as each post will help to maintain the top ranking position achieved by this excellent site. Well done to the XComplaints site proprietor/webmatser.
There is rumour that suggests a certain person is moving to another English speaking country, I am wondering why?
Will it be with or without his babes?
Are you suffering from the Benamour Babe Syndrome?
Does FLM stand for 'FULL LIFE MEMBER' ? |

Hi Stephen,
I wouldn't describe FLM as a good, honest company. However, if you take out a Guarantor Loan with this company and make your monthly payments on time, then you will certainly not be hassled. But a very serious word of caution Stephen!! If, for some reason you cannot make a monthly payment on its due date, you will be bombarded with emails, texts and telephone calls every day until you have made the payment. Also remember Stephen, whoever is nominated as your guarantor, that person will also be hounded in the same way, every day!! Another point to mention. If FLM cannot debit your account with the monthly repayment, they will automatically debit your Guarantor's account. This is where the stress can kick in. It's one thing being in arrears with a far distant company that you have no emotional connection with, however when the debt is owed to your guarantor who is probably a friend, relative or close associate -- then this is another matter altogether.
Unless you feel absolutely confident that you can afford the monthly loan repayments for the contract period (several years) and you have a rock solid income and, your job prospects are as rosey as an apple, for the forseeable future, then my advice would be NO!!! DO NOT TAKE OUT A GUARANTOR LOAN with any company. You have been warned Stephen |

I have noticed that this site is being slowly forced off the top page rank by a number ofl FLM's own sites when anybody uses search terms such as, FLM Loans Scam, FLM Loand Scam or FLM Scam etc. I suggest that this is obviously a strategic effort by FLM themselves to eventually fill up the whole of 'Page One' of the Google search for the keywords FLM Loans Scam and FLM Scam so that nobody will see this Xcomplaints forum site on the nuber One search page. This is a clear example of how this company operates. Even the BBC site is being forced down the rankings. |

For the Chumps that never missed a payment and think FLM are great. You should have got your guarantor to take out a proper loan at a far less rate then split the saving so your half reduced your monthly payments and the other half went to your guarantor. You would have paid less for the loan your guarantor would have earned some money and the Loan sharks would have got nothing. DUHHHHH !!! |

i have taken a loan out with flm, and have had nothing but problems. they hassle my guarantor and me daily, telling us that my little sister should go without her birthday presents because the loan payment was more important. they arent willing to give any lee-way with any payments, and you end up with extra charges which they dont tell you about. when i took the loan out the loanfinder took 2 payments of £29 instead of 1, and also set my bank up to a £9 a month charge which i knew nothing about. i have tried for 4 month to get that money back but with no success. also, every time i try contact them, i can never get through!!!!
ALTHOUGH THE LOAN THEY OFFER SEEMS LIKE A QUICK SOLUTION TO MONEY PROBLEMS, I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECCOMEND IT. HONESTLY, I WISH I HAD JUST DONE WITHOUT INSTEAD. IF ANY1 I KNEW WAS GOING TO GET A LOAN FROM THEM, I WOULD ACTUALLY PAY THEM NOT TO! THATS HOW BAD THEY ARE. |

I unknowingly agreed to be a guarantor for someone I thought a friend. She made one payment on time and stopped. FLM loans started hassling me; they took money off my account without telling me, I went to the bank and told them they shouldn’t have allowed the money to be taken off. In the end I closed the account to avoid the same thing happening again. They kept writing to me, texting, calling. I went to the citizen advice bureau but they didn’t really do anything.
The person that received the money has 2 mortgages; they don’t seem to call her for the money. Anyway, FLM then approached my employer asking them to make monthly deductions from my wages to pay them. I told my employer what was happening, so she ignored their request for a while. Then someone from FLM loans actually visited my work place and threatened my employer with court action if she didn’t do as they told her. My employer gave in and now they are taking payment every month from my wages. I don’t even know if this is legal.
Has this happened to anyone?

For anyone who's interested I suspect we can get FLM Loans on legal grounds for at least 3 things
1) Breach of PCI Compliance
2) Breach of Data Protection
3) Breach of section 40 of The Administration of Justice Act 1970
1 and 2 relate to the fact that all their emails contain complete login details to their website. As we all know email is not secure (despite what FLM will claim) and such can be intercepted. Anyone who has that login link can pull out your home address and telephone numbers - all pretty handy for a bit of IDENTITY THEFT if someone felt inclined to do so.
3 is related to the threatening nature of their emails, phone calls and letter. The volume of these messages can be viewed as harrassment |

FLM - a bunch of robbing scammers that are involved with the infamous chancers Wentworth Direct Finance, Ralph Marlon etc.
How these people sleep at night is beyond me.
Remember this name ANTHONY GRANT CLAYTON - he's behind most of this fraud. |

Total con-artists!!!. I have a loan with FLM and have experienced very similar issues with FLM myself. I signed up to "payment Gaurd" an income protection company linked with FLM. This compay would take money at least twice a month from my account for different amounts without my consent.
FLM are also now hassling me with Calls, Texts and Emails asking for my new debit card details, although these are not needed as I already have a direct debit set up with the company for regular monthly payments.
THIS UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!
STAY WELL AWAY! |

I have taken out a FLM loan, was a bit worried to hear about all these missed payment issues. I agree that is is your reponsibility to make your payments however working in the finacial sector myself there are rules which must be adhered to by all lenders which by the sounds of what people have been posting flm have not. They have every right to chased missed payments however it must be done by treating the customer fairly. I will not toralate any letters of texts which are out of order and will report them. I have taken out protection to protect me if i im out of work or off sick, i would of sugeested that you should of done the same thing. hope that your problems will be resolved peacefully. |

ITS A TWO HORSE RACE AND I AGREE WITH THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLES THOUGHTS THEY HASSLE U EVEN IF YOU HAVE NOT MISSED A PAYMENT .... AND THEY ARE NASTY WHEN U TRY TO EXPLAIN ANYTHING TO THEM....... THYE DONT GIVE A DAM SO LONG AS THEY ARE FLEECING YOU BY UPFRONT FEES AND NO HELP AT ALL IF YOU NEED IT....... THEIR INTEREST ARE TOO HIGH .......FOR THE LITTLE AMOUNT YOU BORROW. I WOULD ADVISE NEVER USE FLM. |

I have had practically the same experience as this lady. They use harrassment and scare tactics to make you pay up. I have also discovered that they have taken duplicate payments from me (as guarantor) and the borrower. I am reporting them to the Financial Ombudsman Service. My advice - DO NOT HAVE ANY DEALINGS WITH FLM. |
